Peek at My Week!

It's almost March! That means it is almost time for parent teacher conferences and spring break! I don't know about you but I can't wait for a week off!! As this is the last week of the term it will be filled with end of the term projects and the mounds of late work that will inevitably turned in.

First let me say that I LOVE my new blog design! Megan from A Bird in Hand Designs worked her magic and designed a perfect logo and blog design for me! I decided to order her build your log package..what sold me was the very reasonable price! It starts at only $35.00!! AMAZING!






This week in Reading :

1. Finish our Utopia/Dystopia Unit - the kids have been working on creating their own utopia/dystopia as a culminating project. I can't wait to see what they came up with!

2. Continue reading Matched by Ally Condie


3. Finish up our point of view and propaganda unit

4. If there is time I want to start my functional text unit!

This Week in Writing:

1.  Continue writing our class biographies

2. Mini Lessons on how to write hooks for biographies and transitions for informational text

3. Kid Blog Assignment for the Week- A Day in the Life of Me! We started this last week but no one finished it so I will give them time to work on that this week


Also happening this week:

We  will be having an AMAZING reading week!! Each day will be filled with different reading inspired activities.

Thursday Feb 27—Book and  a Beach- Dress up Hawaiian Style
Friday Feb 28—Mustangs are Readers
Monday March 1—Red and White DEAR Day!

    Our Read Across America Week is the first week in March so we have one more week to go. I love the activities your school has planned. Such fun!
